Maximizing Space and Security with Motorized Telescopic Gates

A common architectural challenge in urban residential and commercial properties is maximizing the driveway or entry clearance without compromising security. Traditional swing gates require a large arc of space to open, and standard sliding gates need side clearance equal to the width of the driveway. When side clearance is limited, the solution is the Motorized Telescopic Gate.

What is a Telescopic Gate?

A telescopic gate consists of two or more overlapping gate leaves. When activated, these panels slide alongside each other, telescoping into a compact footprint. This design effectively halves the required side clearance compared to a single-piece sliding gate.

Engineering for Reliability

The mechanics behind a smooth telescopic gate are complex. The panels are connected by an intricate cable and pulley system, hidden within the bottom profile of the gate. As the primary motor drives the first panel, this cable system perfectly synchronizes the movement of the subsequent panels.

At Kiran Slido Craft, our Motorized Telescopic Gates are engineered with:

  • Heavy-Duty Geared Motors: Ensuring consistent operation even with heavy steel panels.
  • Precision Bearings and Tracks: Preventing derailment and ensuring whisper-quiet operation.
  • Advanced Safety Optics: Stopping and reversing the gate immediately if an obstruction is detected.
By choosing a telescopic design, architects can secure wide entryways in tight urban plots without sacrificing aesthetic appeal or functional space.
